How to enhance your own happiness…

  1. Count your blessings: express gratitude for what you have and convey your appreciation tho those whom you’ve never properly thanked.
  2. Cultivate optimism: Keep a joirnal in which you imagine and write about the best possible future for yourself, or practice looking on the bright side of every situation.
  3. Avoid over-thinking and social comparison
  4. Do good things for others, be it strangers or friends, directly or anonymously, planned or spontaneous. 
  5. Nurture relationships by investing time and energy in healing, cultivating, affirming and enjoying them.
  6. Do more activities that truly engage you – lose yourself in a challenge and enjoy it.
  7. Take delight in life’s momentary pleasures and wonders through thinking, writing, drawing or sharing with others.
  8. Commit to your goals – devote time and effort to pursuing them.
  9. Practice ways to endure stress, hardship or trauma.
  10. Learn to forgive – let go of anger and resentment to those who have wronged you.
  11. Practice your own spirituality, in whatever form resonates with you.
  12. Take care of your mind and body – exercise, eat a healthy diet, meditate, smile and laugh!
