Iodine is in short supply in our diets, This is partly due to poor iodine in soils and the food we eat. The Japanese have a high Iodine diet by eating seaweed daily.Iodine is essential for the thyroid gland and can prevent breast cancer, fibroids and fibrocystic breast disease. Most people know that lack of it leads to thyroid disease and at it’s worst mental retardation. However it also helps remove toxic chemical like fluoride, bromide and some heavy metals.
